The Italian company takes part in the exhibition dedicated to wood furniture

Pedrali takes part in the exhibition “OH! Viaggio nel mondo del legno arredo” (Journey into the world of wood furniture) starting on 28 February 2025 at the Torre di Santa Maria in Udine, open every Saturday until 28 February 2026. Organised by Confindustria Udine, Associazione Archimede e Domenico Taverna and Vetrina dell’Ingegno, the event highlights the rich history and innovation of the wood-furnishing sector - a cornerstone of Friuli industry.

Spanning six floors, the exhibition offers an immersive journey through the wood industry, from forest resource management to craft and industrial processing, culminating in cutting-edge technological innovations and sustainable design.

On the ground floor, next to the permanent exhibition, a dedicated corner showcases the ADI Compasso d’Oro Award, curated in collaboration with Associazione per il Disegno Industriale, Friuli Venezia Giulia Delegation. Here, visitors can admire the Frida chair, designed by Odo Fioravanti, which won the XXII ADI Compasso d’Oro in 2011 for its “simple sculptural beauty”. This oak chair stems from a careful study aimed at combining beauty, cutting-edge technology, simplicity and a love for details. With Frida, Pedrali explores new possibilities in terms of wood processing. The chair’s most extraordinary feature is the superposition of a three-dimensional curved plywood shell on a solid wood frame. The result is a sturdy yet extremely cosy chair marked by lightness and resistance. Frida is made using FSC® C114358 certified wood and painted with water-based paints of plant origin.
