#PedraliBacktoNature at Salone del Mobile.Milano 2023
17 Apr, 2023
The 100% Made in Italy company will present its new collections through a booth that celebrates its origins: 60 years of beauty, tradition and innovation
From 18 to 23 April Pedrali, the leading manufacturer of contemporary design furniture for contract and residential, will take part in the 61st Salone del Mobile.Milano, the world's most important international design event.
The company will present its new collections, resulting from meticulous research and collaborations with Italian and international designers, through a booth with a surface area of more than 900 sqm titled #PedraliBacktoNature (Hall 6, Stand A23-B24). The set-up was conceived by the Milan-based DWA Design Studio signing a new partnership with Pedrali.
2023 marks for Pedrali an important anniversary: 60 years from the company foundation. Pedrali has a family history that dates back to 1963, when Mario Pedrali founded a craft workshop in Palazzolo sull’Oglio, in the province of Brescia, where he began to produce his first outdoor seating collections in forged iron. The company’s 34th participation at the Salone del Mobile.Milano represents one of the first moments to celebrate this important milestone, which will find its highest expression in the autumn with a dedicated event.
#PedraliBacktoNature evokes the origins of the company, which started with the outdoor collections and has evolved over the years to include indoor products, expressed through a fluid set-up in which the interior and exterior follow one another, one becoming the extension of the other.
The emerging environment, which is homogeneous and differentiated at the same time, is a soft and welcoming space, where spontaneous but designed nature becomes the distinguishing feature that defines and gives meaning to the space.
The booth is designed as a geometric volume in which each room is characterised by its own volumetry and defined by natural earth tones such as beige and sand. A neutral palette that allows the products to be emphasised, presented in more intense and bolder colours.
Inspired by warm earthy tones, the materials that follow the discovery of the space, were also selected for their intrinsic expressive value. The possibility of recycling, embraces the sustainable philosophy pursued by Pedrali: furnishing means taking care of spaces for the well-being of those who use them.
Reusing and recycling, regeneration and energy sustainability also play a central role for the exhibition.
Thus, raw materials were chosen to enable the booth to be disassembled and reused, or correctly disposed of by differentiating the various components.
The sense of awareness of the use of reusable and recyclable materials goes hand in hand with the desire to give the environment a warm and welcoming appeal in which the new collections, the protagonists of the space and the leitmotiv of the entire set-up, are placed on a raised platform to recreate Pedrali’s worlds of reference.
The pathway is a promenade that winds through six different settings, each with its own specific character that comes to life around a central court: the lobby of a hotel, an external patio, a lounge space that depicts a garden, an en plein air setting, a hybrid location where interior and exterior merge and an outdoor arena.
