the italian company is leader partner of the event dedicated to the harmonious integration between nature and city
Pedrali is once again partner of the “Landscape Festival - I Maestri del Paesaggio”, the international festival, now at its eleventh edition, organized by Arketipos along with the town council of Bergamo and Regione Lombardia, attracting the best designers and the most interesting expressions of the international landscaping. From 9th to 26th September the city is at the heart of the landscaping culture and Piazza Vecchia, the jewel-square of Bergamo Alta, will be once more a stage of nature and beauty, integrating man and nature, functionality and beauty, innovation and environment.
Environmental awarness, functionality and beauty, are fundamental and no longer deferrable key concepts of the theme of this edition “From Nature to Nature (a journey in the city of the future)”, interpreted by the British landscape architect Nigel Dunnett, Professor of Planting Design and Urban Horticulture in the Department of Landscape Architecture at the University of Sheffield, and one of the world’s leading voices on innovative and ecological approaches to planting design. . The installation that transforms Piazza Vecchia into a large meadow with wildflowers and other wild plants, signed by Dunnett, is more functional than decorative and expresses the role of nature in a more sustainable city of the future.
For the decoration of Green Square, Nigel Dunnett selected Pedrali outdoor collections: Remind chairs and Elliot tables become the protagonists of this joyful, immersive, and inspirational installation.
Remind, designed by Eugeni Quitllet, is made from a monoblock of injection-moulded polypropylene. Seat and backrest are characterised by a breathable texture that contribute to the chair’s airy, lightweight appearance, as well as to its embracing comfort. Elliot, designed by Patrick Jouin, features a elegant silhouette, whose sinuous lines recall nature.
Green Design 2021 is staged in the most impressive sites of Città Alta including the ancient Lavatoio that turns into a convivial garden, where furniture and vegetation harmoniously blend with the surrounding environment creating unexpected scenarios. Visitors can sit on the sofas and lounge armachairs from Tribeca collection, designed by CMP Design, or on Nolita collection, always by CMP Design, or even on Island poufs; nestled in the magic atmosphere of this corner of CIttà alta enhanced by the magical light of Giravolta and Happy Apple, the lamps designed by Basaglia Rota Nodari.
Landscape Festival 2021 includes a new feature titled Landscape Talk, a series of talks at Palazzo del Podestà on Piazza Vecchia and online, with special guests, such as CMP Design.
