pedrali furniture at cersaie 2019
19 Sep, 2019
Pedrali takes part in Cersaie, the International Exhibition of Ceramic Tile and Bathroom Furnishings, held at Fiera di Bologna from 27 to 23 September 2019.
Last year, the event, dedicated to architects, interior designers and contract furniture industry operators, attracted more than 112,000 visitors. The constantly expanding exhibition offering includes a series of conferences, exhibitions and side-line events.
Pedrali’s products star in two special areas: Famous Bathrooms and Archincont(r)act.
The Famous Bathrooms exhibition, now in its sixth edition, is set up in Hall 30. It is a multi-product cross-sectional event dedicated this year to international excellence. The two curators, Angelo Dall'aglio and Davide Vercelli, have chosen a brand new exhibition model, which combines the peculiarities of an art gallery with those of B2B exhibitions. The design products featured are enhanced by an iconic, interpretative route inspired by the bathrooms of famous people, such as the Beatles, Sigmund Freud, Le Corbusier and Maria Callas.
The furnishing elements of Pedrali’s Nolita collection, designed by CMP Design and evoking the origins of a journey embarked upon by Mario Pedrali in 1963, star in the set dedicated to American writer Ernest Hemingway. The setting evokes the Cuba of his famous “The Old man and the Sea”: fishing rods and nets, books, a Blue Marlin and photos of fishing trips on the walls act as the backdrop for the Nolita table, armchair and chaise longue, where visitors can imagine Hemingway lying back and relaxing after a fishing trip or taking a refreshing shower. In the corners, the wireless Giravolta lamps by Basaglia Rota Nodari shed light onto the set. The furniture has been chosen in a yellow hue to create a bright, visually striking setting.
The central area will host the scheduled talks and a lounge area dedicated to meetings, debates and awards, furnished with the Volt chairs by Claudio Dondoli and Marco Pocci and the Ikon tables by Pio and Tito Toso.
Archincont(r)act is a new exhibition format held within Mall 29-30, dedicated to 10 important national and international architectural firms. All the stands are enhanced by Pedrali furniture: Arki-Table tables are paired with Babila stools by Odo Fioravanti, and Happy Apple suspension lamps by Basaglia Rota Nodari. The lounge area, instead, is furnished with Ikon tables by Pio and Tito Toso and with Dome stools, also by Odo Fioravanti.
