19 Oct, 2017
Even in its 40th edition, Pedrali takes part at Host, the international exhibition leader in Ho.Re.Ca., in the Furniture area (Hall 11, stand B27-B35 – C28-C36) that offers furnishing solutions for the hospitality and retail sector. The Italian company, well known for its contemporary collections for public spaces, offices and homes, is one of the most enduring exhibitors at Host, having first attended it in 1985.
The exhibition concept consists of six niches that reveal families and models of the Pedrali 2017 collection and a lounge area set up with the latest products presented at the Salone del Mobile 2017. The furniture on display express their natural attitude for the hospitality and retail spaces: they are versatile, because available in several versions, customizing in different combinations of materials and characterized by a sophisticated and cutting edge style
Among the protagonists of this edition you can find Dome, a collection of seatings in polypropylene designed by Odo Fioravanti that brings back to mind the glorious tradition of the bistrot chairs. The same designer for Babila, a chair able to move along tradition and innovation. Symbol of versatility and functionality, Fox, designed by Patrick Norguet, is an elegant collection of armchairs with a distinctive character. Nym, by Cazzaniga Mandelli Pagliarulo, is a collection made of solid ash wood which reviews English traditional Windsor chairs with a contemporary style. Volt, designed by Claudio Dondoli e Marco Pocci, with its pure volume and its well defined lines, ensures functionality and comfort in each context. Nolita, designed specifically for outdoor use by Mandelli Pagliarulo, recalls the origins of a historic course, started by Mario Pedrali in 1963 with his first metal garden chairs.
Among the new products 2017 there’s also Giravolta, designed by Basaglia Rota Nodari, that wins the SMART Label 2017 Award as Product Performance, “for products with innovative features”. SMART Label is an award for innovation, promoted by HOST - Fiera Milano in collaboration with POLI.design, which will be given during the next edition of HOST 2017 to those products / services / projects that stand out for distinctive features in terms of functionality, technology, environmental sustainability, or ethical or social implications.
Versatility and style are indeed the most important features required to Pedrali products, often chosen to create flexible, intelligent and sophisticated spaces. Like the Moleskine Café in Milan, in the heart of the Brera Design District, the classic literary café reinterpreted in a contemporary version, ore - Ducasse au château de Versailles, an outstanding setting, which allows a view like no other of the ancient and magnificent royal residence near Paris and the Van Cleef & Arpels French boutique located in the legendary Fifth Avenue in New York.
