Let it SNOW: ten years together
In 2018, Pedrali celebrated the tenth anniversary of Odo Fioravanti’s Snow chair with the installation "Let it SNOW: ten years together".
Made of polypropylene, over Snow’s playful shape has met the favour of the public and the approval of the critics, winning first prize in the Young & Design competition in the year of its début.
To celebrate its tenth anniversary at the 2018 Salone del Mobile, Odo Fioravanti designed four special versions of the chair, associated with music tracks representing its history. In the first version, "Dancing Queen", Snow enters adulthood, transforming into a rocking chair so that it can carry on dancing like a queen. In the second version, "Girls just wanna have fun", Snow shows it playful side to carry on flying high and having fun as a carefree swing. The third version, "We are family", is given by a stack of chairs, from the biggest to the smallest, to represent the large family of products and multiples born from Snow. Finally, the fourth version, "Born to be wild", is a Snow with wheels, telling the story of its many journeys around the world.
"I think there is something deeply honest about the fact that objects do their job, which is to enter people’s lives gracefully, gently, and then somehow take on different meanings day after day"
