Pedrali and DWA Design Studio for EDIT Napoli 2023

The Italian company presents with DWA Design Studio the UNICO project
Pedrali together with DWA Design Studio, by Frederik De Wachter and Alberto Artesani, debut at EDIT Napoli 2023, the editorial and authorial design fair that from 6 to 8 october is ready to welcome exhibitors, guests and industry experts as well as the public in the evocative State Archive of Naples.
Pedrali and DWA Design Studio open to the public one of the seven locations of EDIT Cult: in the folkloric Spaccanapoli, inside the spazio Riot of Palazzo Marigliano, comes to life the UNICO project.
Frederik De Wachter and Alberto Artesani, after observing the processing waste obtained during the moulding of chairs, had the intuition to recognize the potential of waste material, a shapeless and coloured amalgam, enhancing its transition from the liquid to the solid state. The original idea is not to re-introduce the waste into production but to use it as actual objects resulting from processes such as turning or polishing, as if they were made of stone or wood, or any other organic material. A combination in which reuse blends with craftsmanship, giving life to always different pieces of unique value.
Pedrali products furnish and colour various areas of Palazzo Marigliano in the historic centre of Naples.
The protagonist of the exhibition area is Arki-Table, linear and rigorous from a structural point of view, but at the same time versatile and designed for different uses. The terrace, which opens majestically beyond the windows of the exhibition hall, appears as an elegant relaxation area illuminated by Giravolta lamps, by Basaglia Rota Nodari, and furnished by Narì armchair designed by Andrea Pedrali, combined with Elliot tables by Patrick Jouin. The inner courtyard of the noble palace presents itself as a place for discussions, exchanges and encounters, thanks to the Nolita chairs, by CMP Design, matched with the Elliot tables, by Patrick Jouin. Also in this case, the Giravolta lamps by Basaglia Rota Nodari light up the space.
